In addition to having a unique status in commercial technology sectors, the phone's deep marketing campaigns on commercials and social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter, have attracted a wide range of consumers. According to Wikipedia, there are currently approximately 6.4 million active iPhone users, and growing, in the United States alone. Apple has released the iPhone 3G in eighty countries and territories and is constantly finding new ways to integrate and market its product across transcontinental borders. The iPhone features a camera, portable media player, navigation tools, and a variety of other applications, all easily accessible to users via the phone's multi-touch screen. According to Google, the iPhone generates 50 times more search requests than any other mobile phone. Apple's development of the iPhone is a phenomenon that will likely continue to appeal to future generations of consumers for many years to come.
