Motivation can be defined as an individual's internal dedication and willingness or concentration to achieve a goal he has set for himself. Motivation is an important factor in high-level sports that makes you do what you want, and if you are not motivated to be a high-level athlete, the chances of performing to the best of your ability are much lower. As a result there is a huge possibility of not achieving your goals. Motivation is initiated and generated by a motive which is a reason to do things that will require motivation. This research is directed towards an in-depth explanation of motivation and its positive and negative aspects in sport in general and examples of specific areas: 1) What drives an athlete to sacrifice a highly desirable social life for the demands of high-performance sport? 2) What drives the athlete to pursue success in sport at all levels? Research highlights the importance of motivation and how it influences how people think, feel and behave. The research was conducted with the help of the following methods: personal experience, online research, real-life stories and interactions with other individuals. Motivation represents one of the most important variables in sport. Coaches and athletes, in fact, agree that motivation is one of the key elements that will enhance not only performance but also a positive experience in sports. But what is motivation? Why do some athletes seem more motivated than others? Does motivation matter in relation to results? If so, how can coaches and other professionals facilitate athlete motivation? This research is directed towards a better understanding of the nature and functions of successful fitness motivational strategies and a detailed study of crowd and weather conditions such as wind, sun and temperature. We cannot have any control over these external factors. Ultimately, motivation will impact performance. Ultimately it is also the only factor over which we have control. Motivation will have a direct impact on the level of success you ultimately achieve. If you are exceptionally motivated to improve your performance, you will put in the necessary effort and time to improve your game. Motivation will also control your performance level when you participate in a competition. Motivation is important because it helps a person complete a task that seems very difficult to complete. If you're fighting someone with nearly equal skill, skill won't dictate the outcome. Rather, it will be the athlete who doesn't give up, who works harder and who gives his best when it counts.
