I am writing to analyze Raina Kelley's "Beauty Is Defined, and Not by You," a short article that is one of the articles needed to determine whether or not we should publish at the Shorthorn . In my opinion, we should publish Raina Kelley's body article because she expressed the main point between the difference between beauty and appearance using logo, pathos and ethics that consider the UTA community as relationship, work, health and economics. . It all relates to the UTA standard of living. Obviously, women and teens in the UTA community are more likely to read this article than men. By reading Kelly's article, it helps students focus with their knowledge skills for the future employee. According to the author's statement in the reading group "The Body", she expressed the workplace beauty standard as completely irrelevant, priceless, and she does not care about the workplace beauty standard. But the author's point of view towards experience, confidence and education is more worthy and significant than good looks in the workplace appear. Then, he supported his statement by saying that there are many opportunities for all of us even if we are not attractive or beautiful and today women have equal opportunities as men. Furthermore, the author supported her statement along with the teenager and women are spending less money on beauty products than before. These reasons suggested students not to worry about beauty standards in the workplace and focus on results carefully. Additionally, UTA appears to have same-sex students, mostly single and couple relationships, working students and limited income, as well as diversity related to the reasons for Kelley's point of view. Most… middle of paper… women and men with good looks look at their company, especially positions such as waitress, pilot, receptionist, meteorologist and more. A part of the public does not spend less money on beauty products because there are many customers who still go to the salon and nail shop to spend their money on their beauty. Dressing well is not just about having self-respect and appearance and pushes some people to be concerned about their appearance. In my conclusion, Kelly's article refers to the lifestyle of college students and encourages women to not only worry about things their looks with the example of logos, pathos and ethos. She also has the research to prove her evidence and has indicated her idea about changing beauty standards by focusing on education instead of her appearance. Therefore, he pushes readers to focus on study rather than beauty while reading his article.
