The survey evaluates the importance of the change in the speech tactics that Adolf Hitler used in his speech on 26 April 1942 in the Reichstag. To evaluate the linguistic tactics employed by Hitler in this particular speech, the investigation will examine what tactics were used and how they differed from speeches Adolf Hitler had given previously. During the investigation, mainly documents from psychoanalysis and the translated original speech were used. Two of the sources used in this investigation are the analysis of Hitler's speech of April 26, 1942, written by Joseph McCurdy, and the translated speech Adolf Hitler: Speech to the Reichstag Assuming New Power (26 April 1942) from the Jewish Virtual Library but originally by The Propogander, a magazine.Part BEvidence:• Hitler's delivery of the speech-Psychologists revealed it may have been the most calculated way ever-psychological projection6-Hitler's atypical speech1-few emotional outbursts and shouting, something for which Hitler was known to - Does not boast of the superiority of the Germans - Boasts of the undeserved conquests of the Italians and tries to downplay the conquests of the Japanese, worthy of praise. • The calculations behind the speech - Appears modest 3 - tries to show that he is interested mainly to the well-being of Germany.1-lay the groundwork for the peace offer as a precaution in case Germany lost the war2-wanted to obtain unlimited power, exempt from law3• Why the speech is different from normal-the effrontery has disappeared1-uses different methods typical of the speaker1-praises other countries more than Germany, perhaps because of the Battle of Moscow-He does not boast of German power or speak negatively about the people of his e...... middle of paper ......ion because they were on Germany's side when clearly they were more powerful. Hitler claims that if England won, they would win nothing but losing would mean losing everything and the same could be said of Germany. It becomes clear that Hitler regrets having brought Japan into war through the use of projection.Part EThe speech Hitler gave on the radio in Berlin on April 26, 1942 was the most calculated speech Hitler had given up to that point. It formed the basis for possible peace offers if Germany lost the Second World War. To the normal person the speech sounded as if Germany is losing and will not survive for long. However, this technique used by Hitler shows how calculated his speech was. Every aspect of Adolf Hitler's speech that seems different compared to his past speeches was done intentionally and with a clear purpose behind it.
