Figure 3 11. BBS of a BeamBar column bending program The column reinforcement is not particularly similar on all floors, therefore all columns were studied at floor level. The columns are also divided into two phases per floor, similar to that of the beams. Values derived from STAAD.Pro results refer to steel percentage and stirrup spacing. The percentage is multiplied by the gross area of the section to obtain the area of the reinforcement. STAAD.Pro aims for a smaller number of bars with larger diameter, but this may not always be enough, therefore the number of bars was calculated manually for all columns. Furthermore, STAAD.Pro does not consider the overlap length for the column reinforcement and the members are designed based on a single element. Therefore, the reinforcement provided is usually higher than the STAAD.Pro requirement. The length of the overlap depends on the type of steel and concrete. In this structure, the overlap length was kept constant at 50 × Bar diameter. The complete BBS with columns is attached in Appendix ABC. An example of BBS for columns is shown in figure 555. Figure 3 12. BBS of a column Designing Various Components Few components such as shear wall and balcony cannot be designed in STAAD.Pro. These elements must be designed manually.Shear wall designBalcony designFoundation design in STAAD.FoundationThe STAAD.Pro file can be exported directly to STAAD.Foundation for foundation design. Through this software it is possible to design isolated, combined, pile and raft foundations. The details required to design the foundation are details about column location, base reactions, moments and load combinations. The design itself is very simple in STAAD.Foundation. For this structure, 61 isolated footings and 1...... half of the sheet ......y after the reinforcing binding.SS, start to start: Both the Predecessor and Successor tasks will start together, independently from the duration. This relationship is not about duration, but two businesses should start together. Example: When batching concrete, the input of aggregate and water is a dependency from start to start. Both must be entered together, even though a material may stop soonSF, the Start to Finish-Predecessor activity cannot begin until the Successor activity has completed. This is rarely used during project management. Example: An old pipeline cannot be stopped until the new one is built.FF, Finish to Finish: Predecessor and successor activities should finish together regardless of duration. Example: Reinforcement union of columns to be cast together must finish together, so casting can be done together.
