Coach K provided numerous examples of different leadership styles that he believes help a leader be exceptional. The style I believe I will be most likely to use is situational leadership. Since I want to be Mike Krzyzewski, coaching requires a leader who can handle different scenarios and situations. Coach K teaches you how to handle different things that will happen during your season. I believe that being a situational leader helps you become a transformational leader; the other leadership style mentioned by Krzyzewski in the novel. Both leadership styles complement each other as the situations you face help you turn your team and staff into a well-oiled machine. I recommend anyone with a future in leadership to read this fantastic, informative book. With Coach K winning 5 National Championships, 12 Final Four Regional Championships, 13 ACC Tournament Championships, and a 3-time Naismith College Coach of the Year; his resume speaks for itself, you can only imagine the vital information you can get from someone of his caliber.
