From 1bce to today Many things happen regarding government. It happened all over the world, so there was a lot about government. I learned most things about government as we learn about new places and time periods, but I think there were a lot more things that had to do with government back then. There will be 4 different time periods. 1bce to 1000, 0 to 1000, 1000 to 1800 and 1800 to date. I will provide information for each of these time periods about the different governments. A lot of crazy things have happened in different types of government. There were many different emperors, etc. In 1 BC and before, emperors were basically the government. They made all the rules. They had different social structures in different countries. they too could do whatever they wanted. Hammurabi's code was also written in this period. Hammurabi's code was a set of rules. The main reason for the rules was “an eye for an eye”. Ancient Rome was basically a monarchy. In Greece, Athens was democracy and Sparta was oligarchy. India governs its rulers on the basis of divine assistance. In Mesopotamia they were theocracy, meaning a government by divine authority. By 900, China's Zhou Dynasty had a postal service organized for government use. By the 1500s, Chinese government officials were using a fast, well-established courier service. “Roman rule became known as Caesar's Civil War, also eliminated the Roman Republic (509–27 BC) and led to the Roman Empire (27 BC–AD 476).” The tyrannical government produced robberies, as the rebels plundered both their own and neighboring countries. The Common Era began in 399 BC It is “The year numbering system used… half of the paper… There are still some things that were created in the 1000s and before that on this earth today. They still don't look the same but they get put in museums and so on. By doing this project I have learned so much more about government over the years, centuries, and decades.
