Many people might think that anthropogenic influences are the only cause of climate change on Earth. However, there are many factors that go unnoticed by the human population and contribute to this crucial problem. For example, the most common phenomenon is global warming, which is a factor in the progression of climate change over time. (1) This means that climate change has not happened just in one year, but throughout the entire climate history of the Earth. In the modern era, this has been a controversial issue where people only think that human activity is a primary cause of climate change, but there is a consensus view of this issue. 97.1% of scientists believe that climate change trends are caused by human effects. (10) This means that human actions such as deforestation, the use of fossil fuels and population growth lead to an increase in greenhouse gases such as CO₂ in the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect. (4, 5) However, there are many natural causes such as volcanic eruptions that have caused global cooling, solar radiation that has influenced the climate in the past, and ocean currents that influence the exchange of gases in and out of the 'atmosphere. (2, 3)To begin with, one of the causes of human-induced climate change is deforestation and its use for land and agricultural purposes. One effect is that the water cycle is disrupted due to the loss of trees which move water vapor into the atmosphere. (6, 9) Additionally, trees absorb greenhouse gases, so without them there is an increase in the amount of CO₂ in the atmosphere. (6) According to the IPCC, based on the 2004 Edgar databases, deforestation caused 7 to 16% of total greenhouse gas emissions.
