Throughout the history of theaters and stages, many things have changed. However, the theater facilities are similar. Components from the early stages are still used today. A theater is made up of stages, actors, crew and lights. When theaters were first declared they were not very popular. The authoritarians did not approve of them; in 1574 theaters within the city limits were banned. Many people said it was harmful to young people and led them into prostitution. Queen Elizabeth I loved the art of theater and loved watching shows. It helped theaters become popular in cities and among citizens. Shakespeare's theater was full of life and was different from today's. During the shows people didn't just sit and watch; people talked, ate and drank. They clapped for the parts they liked and booed the parts they didn't like. The audience also sometimes threw objects at the actors. The basic type of stage is a "Proscenium" stage, meaning it is a frame that delineates stage right and stage left. When determining the stage from right to left from the audience's perspective, it is the opposite because it is determined from the actor's perspective. When there are different scenes on stage, there are three sides to place them on, except the one facing the audience. Behind the scenes is the area where the audience cannot see (the all behind the scenes part). When an actor steps onto the stage, he moves towards the audience and the stage is away from the audience. In each stage there is the center line (CL) which is the center of the stage. There is also live plaster (PL) running from the back of the proscenium to the front where the (CL) and (PL) intersect. It's called the “zero-zero” line. The front of the hall... center of the sheet... Elizabeth I, theaters have become loved everywhere in the world and by audiences all over the world.
