A national survey conducted by the National Campaign to Support Unplanned and Teen Pregnancies found that a shocking 20% of teens were participating in sexting. Furthermore, the permanence and pervasiveness of the Internet makes it easier for teenagers to spread such information and make it viral. Teens don't think they could hurt anyone by sharing personal information or images of others online, but what they don't know is that this can have serious consequences for the victim. According to research, 17% of teenagers share the messages they receive with other people and at least 55% of sexter teenagers share messages with more than one person.
