The environment plays a significant role in life. It provides basic necessities essential to humans, animal life and plant life, such as water, food, shelter and air resources. Meanwhile, humans' daily actions and decisions have a negative impact on the environment, causing pollution, deforestation and overfishing. As the human population increases, it is obvious that the environment will change; scenic roads become busy interstates, cattle pastures are transformed into shopping malls, peaceful forests are destroyed to make room for waste. It seems that the earth is being led into an uncertain future. As mere visitors to the earth, humans must recognize the problems facing the environment and take action. In the Environmental Health Science (EHS) program, students learn to access, prevent, and control environmental factors that can potentially affect health. Its overall goal is to prepare students for careers as occupational and environmental health specialists. Specialists apply knowledge, research, enforce and write laws, and lobby for the environment.1. NEGATIVE IMPACTS1.1 AIR POLLUTIONA negative impact observed around the world is air pollution.
