People have the freedom, thanks to the Bill of Rights, to choose who they want to lead their nation. They can actually be involved in government and not simply ignored. The articles had the right thoughts in mind, but ignored them to allow people to have a say in government. For example, without the amendments many of us would not be living the free democratic lives we are today. Women, for example, were not even allowed to mention anything to do with government and thanks to the Constitution there is now a Democratic woman running for president of the United States
