Cruz has raised $26 million so far and will continue to focus primarily on getting people to donate. At his campaign headquarters in Houston, he has a dedicated finance team to help receive donations and raise money through fundraisers and other events. His current cash is about $13 million and he has spent just over $12 million on his campaign so far. In addition to the individual contributions coming in, Cruz has four Super Pacs supporting him that have raised over $37 million. For now, Cruz is doing great with fundraising. Donations steadily come in through individual contributions, and this is where Cruz's campaign will continue to work hard as Cruz himself does not have access to Super Pac money. As the election approaches, it is expected that more and more people will begin donating to Cruz, especially as other candidates begin to drop out. The campaign will work hard to capture those supporters. As long as he keeps his spending relatively frugal, Cruz should have no financial problems during the campaign. So far much of the money raised has come not only from wealthy businessmen, but also from conservative middle-class workers who support Cruz on issues related to the economy. Throughout the campaign season, the strategy will be to continue to collect a large amount of small donations from the middle class, especially through recurring monthly donations. Every dollar counts and the small monthly donations really add up over time, so there will definitely be a push to get people to sign up for those. The campaign finance team handles this type of fundraising, as well as hosting VIP events for extremely wealthy donors. These events include dinners and meet and greets. These events are important so that Cruz can reach out and meet voters directly to hopefully spread good word of mouth
