Ethiopia is one of the countries with the oldest civilization not only in Africa, but also in the entire world. It is located in East Africa and is known as the Horn of Africa. Neighboring countries include Djabouti, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. The main languages spoken in Ethiopia are Amharic, Ormigna and Tigrigna, along with many others. As in many African countries, the foreign language most taught in schools is English. During the 4th century, Christianity was introduced thanks to missionaries from Egypt and Syria. According to the 2007 National Cesus: Christians represent 62.8%, Muslims 33.9%, traditional faiths 2.6% and other religions 0.6% of the country's population. Therefore it can be said with certainty that Christianity is the most practiced religion in Ethiopia (Abegaz 1). The current capital is Addis Ababa, founded by Emperor Menlik in 1887. In 1995, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was proclaimed, comprising nine states and two cities. Presented by a federal parliamentary republic, the Ethiopian government is a multi-party democracy. Ethiopia ranks 174th out of 187 countries on the United Nations Development Programme's Human Development Index, and the average per capita income is less than half the current sub-Saharan average” (Rur…. .. middle of paper...... on providing water to fields and communities in Ethiopia, works on reducing blindness caused by a common disease in Ethiopia called iBlindness and is committed to restoring sight, it must be said that poverty is something that an underdeveloped country could easily fall into, yet would have difficulty getting out of it The main cause of Ethiopia's poverty is its extractive political and economic institutions If there is a possibility of Ethiopia becoming a country more developed with less poverty, then it must find realistic and efficient solutions to the problems and change the system of institutions to create a work incentive for the people. However, if Ethiopia continues to follow the path of improvement, it will achieve great results in its future and could actually become a MEDC (more economically developed country). one day.
