Comparison between Jesus and MuhammadJesus is the person who is believed to have had a significant influence on the beginnings of the Christian religion. Muhammad is said to have been responsible for the beginning of the Islamic religion. I will present some key comparisons in the lives of each of these men. A couple of these comparisons will discuss each man's story and show the influence their death has had on the two individual religions with which each is associated. Another point I will show is how each was and is worshiped. Finally I will explain how their individual messages are carried forward today. Historical Life of Jesus A journey from Galilee to Bethlehem took place by a man named Joseph and a woman named Mary. This occurred because of a mandatory census that Caesar Augustus decreed for the purpose of recording the world. The story told by many is that Mary, being a virgin and through the Immaculate Conception, became pregnant and gave birth to the baby Jesus. This birth occurred after Mary and Joseph had arrived in Bethlehem and in a stable because in the inn there was no room. This was the fulfillment of one of the prophecies about the departure of the Savior of Israel from Bethlehem. After carrying out all the required birth and circumcision laws, Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus returned to Nazareth. Jesus grew up and studied in his father's religion. This was Judaism. All practices and... middle of paper... They use the Five Pillars of Islam as the basis of their practices. There are also many holidays that are observed. They must believe in these teachings and develop their facets of life on them. On the basis of this and the effort of each Muslim, what is carried out today developed (Fisher, 2005). Comparison I have briefly discussed some topics comparing them to Jesus and Muhammad. These men have similarities in their lives because the foundations of Christianity and Islam are connected. There are however differences with respect to each because they had separate ministries. Jesus was the Messiah and Muhammad was a prophet. The roles fulfill God's desire, but each with a different capacity and purpose for humanity's relationship with God.
